Day 1 of fair has been rained on with water and blue ribbons! Nice job to both our students who are exhibiting at the Iowa State Fair! Enjoy these shots from Grandma Pat, who was able to get these while I was an asst. supervisor for another show. Very proud of these students!

What a great day to celebrate Dunkerton Days! We had several students build the float and then Lane pulled it in the parade this morning! Thank to everyone! It was a great time to celebrate! Special congrats to our Dunkerton Days Queen on her last day of service Elsie McIntosh and cousin and Denver FFA - Iowa member Maddie Johnson who is serving this year as the Iowa Pork Ambassador!

That’s a wrap on the 2026 KXEL Tractorcade! Thanks to all the riders, audience, and the parents and students who showed up to bake, cook, cut, serve, and purchase the items the students provided! We were raising money for a freeze dryer and supplies to use in the classes and as students SAE projects! We raised over 890$ Thank you all so much! Thanks Sara for some of these photos!

We are helping prepare for the KXEL Tractorcade on June 16th 400 tractors, drivers, and support crews will be in our area. We have been asked to have baked goods/treats available for them to pick up along the ways.

Ways you can help. We plan to cook on Saturday the 13th Could you help with providing us with recipes that would provide a lot to sell. We also could use the supplies to cook the items, and back them up. EDIT TO ADD. We have supplies covered, but still would like to have recipes for good things that can be multiplied!!

We would also love to take pan fulls of items, but the request has been made that they all be homemade items. This will be from 8 to 12, so think more breakfasty things. I am thinking coffeecake, or rhubarb bars. Things like that.

We are raising funds for a freeze dryer and supplies, so we can use them in a school business. Thank you in advance!!!

That’s a wrap! We tried something new this year! We joined with 6 other chapters to try a combined officer retreat! Not only was it highly effective but it worked! Students leaned about the benefits of being an officer and how to plan an event! They also met and worked with other officers from the cedar valley. Thanks to the parents, coaches and of course the students for getting so much outta the experience!
