Attention Boaters and Motorists: Pinellas County Begins Maintenance on Dunedin Causeway Bridge

Per Pinellas County, work starts Monday, July 6, 2026, and is scheduled through January 2027. The scope of the project includes removing and replacing existing steel coatings on the bridge and the removal and replacement of damaged steel structure.

During this period, boaters should note that the bridge will ONLY provide single-leaf openings with a reduced vertical clearance of 6ft on the down/closed span. During non-work hours, the channel will be cleared, however, one span will continue to have a reduced vertical clearance of 6ft due to a containment system.

Motorists should expect temporary lane closures. Message boards will be placed in advance to provide notification and closure details. For questions, call 727-464-8900 or email [email protected]
