Recent graduates of our Career & Technical Education programs are invited to complete a brief survey about their CTE experience!

Your input will help Monroe County ISD better align programs with local workforce needs and post-secondary pathways.

The survey takes about five minutes and will remain open through August 15, 2026.

This year 5 students competed in the Annual Robert Polk Student Home Design Competition. Caiden S. took fifth place, brought home some cash, a certificate and the school gets a trophy with his name, school and year on it, to display for the year! Great job Caiden!!

Student designed a custom 1.5-2 story home with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, attached garage and a Grandparents suite. They created floor plans, elevations, foundation plan, typical wall section, full building section and a site plan. Thank you Kohler Architecture, Monroe Fine Arts Council and the Home Builders Assoc. For providing this for Monroe County students!

Drafting students had the opportunity to visit EMU Interior Design program with a campus tour afterwards. Thank you Dr. Diane for setting this up for us, students had a lot of fun!

Students started off in the drafting lab to learn about space planning and elevation drawings, then to the computer lab for some experience with 3D software and a VR headset that allows us to walk through work designed by students. Finally to the materials lab to learn about color schemes and composition. We enjoyed a complimentary lunch before heading out on the tour. It was a great day!!

I also got to catch up with a couple of former students of mine, so happy to see them on successful paths!!
