Fly Fishing Tactics for Spring Trout

This presentation will focus on fly fishing for spring trout in the diverse Finger Lakes Region of New York. Topics covered will include, how to read the water to anticipate where fish will be, the life cycle of aquatic insects that regional fish like to feed on, tactics and flies on how to imitate them. You will leave the seminar knowing about the different kinds of flies to use AND when and where to use them to increase your chance of success.
This seminar is perfect for new or up and coming anglers looking to learn as much information as they can! You will leave knowing about proper techniques and having the right gear to use in the Finger Lakes region for Spring/early-Summer lake-run and stream trout fishing.

This seminar is $20 per adult, youth are free! No pre-registration required.
Your Instructor:
Shahab Farzanegan has worked in the field of Aquatic and Angling Education since 1996 and is the Founder of the Glenora School of Fly Fishing. Shahab has worn many hats in the field, most notably as the Aquatic and Angling Education Coordinator for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Director of the Community Fly Fisher in Ithaca, NY, and Coordinator of the National 4-H Sportfishing Programs. Additionally, Shahab served as a fly fishing instructor at Cornell University and has contributed to many fly fishing educational resources including the Student Handbook of Fly Fishing. Shahab currently lives in Glenora on Seneca Lake, accompanied by Rafiki , and is certified New York State fishing guide #3500.
