Welcome back, Music Makers! 🎶

Mrs. Pomeroy has a full-time intern this year - Mr. Chiu is back! He will be with us until mid-October when he goes to his secondary placement. He was here last fall as a junior once a week, but now he's doing his student teaching with us! We are VERY excited to have him back!

BCPS Summer Music Camp registration has been EXTENDED — don’t miss this exciting opportunity to keep the music going this summer! Students can participate in Band, Orchestra, or Steel Pan while learning new skills, making friends, and having fun with music all week long. 🎺🎻🥁

ROAD TO THE SPRING CONCERT ♫

For fifth graders playing an instrument, this is the final set of lessons for you this school year. You will be bringing your instrument TWICE this week so be sure to check when your group is needed! Thursday is the big rehearsal so don't forget your horn!

Don't forget - Concert is May 12 at Patapsco High School!

Post-Concert will be one final lesson where we reflect on our performance and get the instrument ready for the next student in 2026-2027 :)

Congrats to our five fifth grade students who represented Charlesmont Elementary School today at the BCPS Elementary Choral and Recorder Festival! All the kids did an amazing job and to the adults to put it all together to make it happen. We are proud of our roadrunners!

Tomorrow these five fantastically talented fifth graders will be going to the BCPS Elementary Choral and Recorder Festival to represent Charlesmont! They will be singing eight songs, some even being up to four parts! They’ve been working so hard with Mrs. Pomeroy after school the last few months and we can’t wait to see them shine on stage with other schools!

It’s also wonderful to know that all five of these friends play an instrument this year too :)

Good luck, friends! You will do us proud!
