🧡💙Attendance Matters! 💙🧡
Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Mississippi’s updated attendance law places an even greater emphasis on students being present and engaged in learning. Students must attend at least 66% of the instructional day to be counted present. Only five excused absences per semester are allowed, with medical documentation required for the fourth and fifth absences. Medical excuses must be submitted to the school within two business days of the student’s return. Absences beyond five require principal-approved extenuating circumstances to be considered excused.
Every day in the classroom matters. Regular attendance helps students build strong academic skills, stay connected with their teachers and peers, and achieve success. Thank you for partnering with us to make attendance a priority—because Every Day Counts!
