I’m back.

I’ve held this space for two whole years and at the time of creating this space I didn’t consider that graduate school, full time moming, full time teaching, and the curveballs of life could ever be so consuming…

Since completing my program in July I’ve taken a few weeks to rest and recalibrate. Today in our districts CTE Professional Development I was reminded again of just how much I love a room full of teachers 🩷

No, I don’t want to be an influencer (sorry students) but I do think I have a unique perspective and a passion for encouraging my peers, so here we go!

Daily posting is the goal with encouragement each day.

Today I want you all to know, that there is a student whose entire life has been changed because of your presence 🩷

Woooooooo. School has swallowed me up BUT I’m feeling a bit more on top of things!

Ever have a discussion or professional conversation that reignites and touches your soul?

This happened last night in my “Human Resources and Financial Management” course.

Honestly, I thought this course would be a snooze but I was engrossed the entire three hours after an entire day of robotics training.

The more I study, the clearer it becomes my heart for keeping teachers in the profession and instructional success.

My hope for you today teacher is that you feel or have the opportunity to be great!

You have the power to change the trajectory of your student’s life!

I survived the first week of fourth grade!

Due to the epic nap session yesterday, I’m reading and rereading VDOE Standards of Learning because if I don’t know the standard, I definitely can’t teach the content well!

This week I learned of a new “Gettting to know You” activity for the first few days back to school.

It’s titled, “Soup, Salad, Sandwich?” I LOVED how it immediately creates connections in the classroom!

Sometimes wanting to do all the things can seem scary and daunting. Sometimes your dreams seem so far away and the what if’s try to take control.

Then, WHAM, you find yourself at a Starbucks in DC sitting next to two Fulbright Scholars chatting it up about education and your heart is full again ❤️
