It’s been a while since I posted anything. But I am happy to say that Twin Ports Martial Arts is going strong with our Wonderful Location at the Duluth Area YMCA! Including the wrap of yet another great rank promotion exam and promotion ceremony!
We had 6 students who earned their 8th Gup Gold Belt! 1 student earned her 5th Gup Green Belt (with a purple stripe!) And 1 student earn his 4th Gup Purple belt!
Congratulations to all of you for doing an exceptional job!

Hello everyone! We have some news for you all!

From all of us at Twin Ports Martial Arts, we want to wish our very own Mr Tommy Kishida all the best wishes and successes in the next chapter of his life! On Monday March 31st, Mr Kishida moved to the great city of Seattle Washington to pursue his next grand adventure! He has been a student with us since 2011, and has achieved more though the martial arts than anyone could ever dream of. Most recently, was the 4th student in our schools history to achieve the rank of 3rd Dan Black Belt and… for the 2nd time in a row, competed in the Spirit of the Arts Martial Arts Tournament and won the Grand Championship title in Sparring! (Just to name a few!)
Mr Kishida, thank you for being a great student, an amazing assistant instructor at our studio, and above all an inspiration to all of us!

Yesterday was a historic day for our studio! We had two great individuals test for and earn their next rank! Mr. Kishida, is now the fourth student in our history to achieve the rank of 3rd Dan Black Belt! And for the very first time, Mr Merritt has achieved the rank of 5th Dan Black Belt! Grand Master Peterson and I could not be more proud of these two Martial Artists! Congratulations! You both earned this title and we are very proud of you both!
