MMAD Lab and UMD Sustainability Office are showcasing videos from their Climate Change Storytelling project, which started a year ago on Earth Day and has resulted in numerous videos, public speaking engagements, community visioning sessions and art work. The project was funded by the U of M and is created to engage new audiences through storytelling utilizing cutting edge technology.

The videos will be featuring our Climate Change Storytelling project:
>>> We believe addressing the climate crisis begins with talking about climate change topics openly, regularly, and in community.
Our project has included not only videos, but also public speaking engagements, community visioning sessions and art work.
Community Visioning Sessions: Community members, including children came together at different events and locations to discuss and draw pictures of their vision of climate resiliency in our area. The events and locations included: First Robotics Duluth Regional and Juneteenth event, Pike Lake Elementary School, Peace Church Youth Group and Harbor City International School and UMD Art Department.

Did you know?
A year ago UMD Viz Lab / MMAD Lab and the UMD Sustainability Office received a grant (through the University of Minnesota Global Programs and Strategy Alliance) to support their Climate Change Storytelling project.
As part of the project we have now collected and shared numerous stories to increase awareness of climate change and action.
The stories have been shared in various formats, including: videos, public speaking engagements, community visioning sessions and art work.
