The toddlers continued working on their hand-eye coordination this week by pounding golf tees into styrofoam. They also loved squishing and rolling playdough.

The preschoolers focused on their senses. They smelled vinegar, peppermint, vanilla, and lemon on cotton balls. Then they used their sense of touch to feel items in the mystery box. They ended the week by moving around without their sense of sight.

This week the toddlers started their week by working their hand-eye coordination. They placed straws in different sized bottles. Then they built train tracks and drove trains.

The preschoolers focused on shapes. They made cookie cutter shapes out of playdough. Then they did a scavenger hunt around the classrooms and playgrounds identifying different shapes.

This week the toddlers did lots of building with cups and magnatiles. It was a great way to work on color identification and practice their hand-eye coordination. The best part of building towers was knocking them down!

The preschoolers focused on the routines, expectations, and rules of the classroom. We have rules so that we can stay safe. They also built lots of sandcastles!

This week the toddlers rescued animals from laundry basket spider webs. Then they washed dinosaurs outside with brushes. They also had a band going. They loved the drums!

The preschoolers focused on chalk. They drew many pictures. Then they explored how dipping the chalk in water altered the color and texture of the drawings. It got a little messy!

This week the toddlers worked on their scissor skills. They read magazines then used the scissors to tear, snip, and cut the pages. They also loved smelling freshly cut flowers!

The preschoolers did several crafts outside with dotters and stickers. It was a great way to work their finger muscles. They also drove trucks around the playground for hours.

This week the toddlers blew, popped, and chased after bubbles! Learning to blow bubbles without eating them was a challenge. Then they colored cardboard boxes outside.

The preschoolers finished an experiment from last week with colored water and celery. Then they played many sports. They played basketball, did some track and field events, and then hit many home runs in baseball!

This week the toddlers learned about the beach through building sandcastles and exploring sea shells. With some of the shells they could hear the ocean. They also loved watching the tree trimmers!

The preschoolers painted with water on the sidewalk and walls. Then they experimented by making ice cream. It was delicious! They also enjoyed fresh green beans from the garden.
