The brothers of Tau Kappa Epsilon are dedicated to building better men through leadership, service and social growth. Our chapter stays active on campus and in the community by sponsoring events, volunteering and promoting. We’re excited to announce Upsilon-Gamma Chapter’s next fundraising event Polar Plunge! The donations we receive will do so much then have our chapter jump into a frozen Lake Superior this upcoming weekend. No matter the donation size or total fundraising amount, you are making a difference in the lives of over 8,200 special Olympics athlete across the state, thank you for your donation!

UMD Students Raise $9,000 for St. Jude Research Hospital A group of University of Minnesota Duluth students spent their Saturday night raising money for a research hospital.

Last November, the Upsilon-Gamma chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity held the first St. Jude Fundraising Dinner. With nearly 100 guests in attendance, we were able to raise over $4,500 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It was an amazing accomplishment for our first year, but we knew we could do better.
This past weekend, on November 10th, 2018, we held the second annual St. Jude Fundraising Dinner. Due to the generosity of all of our friends, family, UMD faculty and staff, and members of the community that attended, we are able to donate over $10,000 towards the fight to end pediatric cancer! Events like this are the reason that advances in cancer research are possible. The efforts of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has led to the survival rate of many types of childhood cancer to increase from 20% to over 80%. This incredible statistic is just the beginning.
We could not be more grateful to our incredible community of parents, guardians, friends, family, UMD faculty and staff, and the countless organizations and individuals that contributed to our mission that no child should die in the dawn of life. We are humbled and proud of the teamwork, dedication, creativity, and support from all of you that turned our dream into something bigger than we could've imagined.
On behalf of our chapter, thank you for standing alongside us and the countless other organizations who fight with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to end pediatric cancer.
Be sure to stop by the Qdoba Mexican Grill off of woodland this Thursday, November 8th from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and say you’re with TKE, and the proceeds will go towards the St. Jude Research Hospital!
