Wishing our staff and families a fabulous summer!

A note from the media specialist:

Due to the school district budget cuts, I have been displaced from my position at Homecroft, and it is unlikely that I will return in the fall. I want to say a huge “thank you” for the opportunity to teach your children. I have enjoyed my two years here immensely and will miss the students and staff.

Yesterday, I received a goodbye card in which the student wrote: “We all read because of you.” As a library/media specialist, I can think of no greater compliment.

Wishing you all a wonderful summer! Please encourage your children to participate in the reading programs at the Duluth Public Library and Barnes and Noble. Happy Reading!

Just a reminder that our 5th grade graduation ceremony will be held today at 1:15 p.m. Doors will open at 1:00 p.m. for those coming to celebrate our students. After the ceremony, visitors will need to depart as soon as possible so that our buses can navigate safely through the parking lot.

Congratulations to our 5th graders! We wish you all the best in middle school and beyond!!

Over the past two weeks in the library, students have been doing various activities at creator stations. Here are some examples of their amazing creativity:

Thursday, May 29th is our Homecroft Family Picnic! Families are welcome to come for recess and lunch at Homecroft; the times are listed below.

K and 1st: 10:40-11:25
2nd and 3rd: 11:35-12:20
4th and 5th: 12:25-1:10

We are looking for some volunteers who would be willing to help hand out food and help supervise our outdoor picnic. If you are available, please sign up on the Parent Square message.

There will be no food offerings for family members for this event; you will need to bring your own food and are welcome to bring food for your child. We encourage you to bring a picnic blanket to sit on; otherwise, you will be able to sit on the grass.

For parking, the lower lot will be closed, so please park in the upper lot area or alongside Calvary Road. Hope to see you there!

Hello Homecroft Families!

The Homecroft Art Show will be on the same day as the Music Concert, Friday May 23rd. After each music performance, there will be time to walk through the art show to see what your amazing artists have been up to! If you are interested in volunteering to help set up/take down, Mrs. Boynton would appreciate your help for the following dates and times:

Thursday, May 22nd 2:30 - 3:30 - (set up)
Friday, May 23rd 2:00 - 3:30 - (take down/package up clay artwork)
