🎓 Massive Gains at Denfeld High School! 🎓

We are bursting with as we celebrate incredible growth in our graduation rates! 🏹✨ Denfeld High School saw a phenomenal 7.85% overall increase in students crossing the graduation stage in 2025 amounting to a 84.77% overall graduation rate.

This success is fueled by the hard work of our students and the dedication of our amazing staff who meet every student where they are. We are seeing double-digit growth across many student groups, including:
▪️Homeless students: +28.21%
▪️Students of two or more races: +14.91%
▪️Students eligible for free/reduced meals: +11.92%
▪️American Indian students: +11.57%

As Principal Tom Tusken said, this achievement is a testament to the collaborative effort of the entire Denfeld community. We are so proud of our Hunters for building a stronger future every single day! 🌟

Denfeld High School makes significant gains in graduation rates Duluth Public Schools is celebrating significant progress in graduation rates at Denfeld High School, which saw an increase of 7.85% overall. ​​​​​​​

The Denfeld staff came out on top over the students in the annual Students vs. Staff basketball game Friday morning. The final score was 52-40, but it was a well played game on both sides. The coaching and officiating was pretty good too.

Congratulations to the following students for demonstrating hard work and leadership and embracing OPPORTUNITY! Here are some images from last night's Red Carpet concert at Denfeld High School (choir portion).

It was senior night on Friday as Denfeld hosted Duluth Marshall in the final regular season game of the 2025-26 season. The Hunters beat the Hilltoppers, secured the Lake Superior Conference title, and senior guard Lee Brooks surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his varsity career.

Section playoffs start on Wednesday.

Carter's philosophy is that he likes to find small ways to improve himself, whether it is in school, in sports, or in his overall well-being.

Duluth Denfeld High School held a Black History Month assembly program for students and staff Friday afternoon in the auditorium.

The Denfeld boys hockey team won both its JV game (3-1) and varsity game (3-2) tonight over Proctor. The Hunters final regular season home game will be Thursday night vs. Rock Ridge. Game times are 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Heritage Center.

Boys are back at it today as they take a road trip to Bemidji to take on the Lumberjacks. C team/Jv @ noon and Varsity at 1:30pm.
