Enchanted Forest Child Care is located on 10 acres near the end of the Lester River Road in Lakewood Township in Duluth. EFCC is owned and operated by Joyanna Yorde. Joyanna resides on premise with her husband Blake, daughter Flora, Newfoundland dog Finley, two outdoor kitties named Copper and Cooper, and too many chickens and ducks to count. Joyanna has worked with children and vulnerable adults her entire adult life, beginning with various babysitting and nanny jobs throughout High School, and moving to PCA and adult group home work through college, where she graduated with a Sociology degree and Psychology minor in 2009. Since college, Joyanna
continued to work with children, specializing in children’s mental health at Northwood Children’s Services(5+years), and The Human Development Center(6+years). Joyanna’s dream was always to live in the woods and start a daycare, so once her daughter, Flora, was born mid-2021, Joyanna began the licensing process to open Enchanted Forest Child Care! With a passion for nature, art and music, you will often find Joyanna and the kids singing, dancing, creating, exploring and playing outside.
