An important update

📢 Some changes are ahead for Temple Baptist Church.

Many of you have heard that Pastor Pittman announced a change in his ministry. After 37 years of faithful service at Temple Baptist Church, Pastor Pittman will be stepping down as our senior pastor and beginning a new ministry of traveling and speaking in churches to help strengthen and build their missions programs.

Pastor Pittman’s last Sunday as our pastor will be Sunday, August 23. We will have a special lunch following the service to celebrate and honor his 37 years of faithful service to Temple Baptist Church. We are incredibly thankful for the years of ministry, leadership, and investment he and his family have given to our church.

But don’t worry—we will not be without a pastor! We are excited to announce that Pastor Bryan Baggett has accepted our call to become the next senior pastor of Temple Baptist Church, beginning Monday, August 24.

Pastor Baggett has served as a BIMI director for the past 8 years. Prior to that, he and his family served as missionaries in Venezuela and Costa Rica. He has also served as both an assistant pastor and a senior pastor, with a combined 15 years of pastoral ministry experience.

While change is never easy, we are excited to welcome Pastor Baggett and his wife, Miss Kris, to Temple Baptist Church! We know they have been praying about God’s will for their family and for our church, and we are looking forward to seeing all that God has in store for the days ahead.

Please join us in praying for Pastor Baggett and Miss Kris as they transition into their new roles and for Pastor Pittman and Miss Janet as they begin this new chapter of ministry. We are trusting the Lord to continue leading and guiding Temple Baptist Church every step of the way. ❤️🙏
