🏃‍♀️🏃 NWLE CROSS COUNTRY IS BACK! 🏃🏃‍♂️

Calling all 3rd–5th grade students interested in joining the 2026 Northwest Cross Country Team! 🎉

📅 Tryouts: Monday, August 24, Tuesday August 25, and Thursday, August 27
👟 Who: All 3rd–5th grade students are welcome to try out!
🎒 Bring: A change of clothes and a water bottle
⏰ Pickup: 4:30 PM SHARP in front of the school

After tryouts, practices will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Our goal is to help students develop a love for running while learning skills like pacing, racing strategies, injury prevention, and proper training techniques. Most importantly, we want our runners to have FUN while challenging themselves and reaching their potential! 💪

🌡️ If weather conditions prevent us from practicing outside, we will practice indoors.

West Laurens Middle School Closed Due to Water Main Break
Dublin, GA — The Laurens County School System announces that West Laurens Middle School (WLMS) will be closed today, Wednesday, August 19, 2026, due to a water main break affecting the school.
The closure is necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff while the issue is addressed.

Additional information regarding the status of school operations for Thursday, August 20 will be communicated to families and staff as it becomes available.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of our WLMS families, students, and staff as we work through this unexpected situation.
