Thank you to our Jefferson PTO for funding our annual 8th grade field trip to Cherry Lanes and ImOn Arena. Clearly the students had a lot of fun bowling and ice skating!

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dubuque and Dubuque Community School District will be providing free meals for kids & teens this summer! Boys & Girls Club site open June 1 - August 7. Terrace Heights Community Center open June 1 - August 7. Park sites open June 8 - August 7. All school sites will open July 6 - July 31. The complete schedule is on the flyer.

🚲 FREE Bike Safety Program for Middle Schoolers!

BikeWise: Street Smart Cycling is a FREE 4-day program for students entering grades 6–8 designed to build confidence, independence, and real-world biking skills!

Participants will start riding in safe, off-street spaces and work up to short, guided rides through downtown using bike lanes. Along the way, they’ll learn important safety skills while discovering biking as a fun and practical way to get around.

Our 6th graders went to the Mines of Spain on May 12. It was an amazing day, even if it was a little wet!

The TEAM (Together, Educators and Administrators Make it Happen) Award recognizes school leaders who foster collaboration, strong relationships, and supportive school cultures where staff and students can thrive.

After being honored with the Dubuque Education Association’s TEAM Award last year, Greg’s name was submitted to the state level, where his leadership and commitment to teamwork earned statewide recognition.

We would like to congratulate Jefferson's principal Mr. Lehman for being selected as the Iowa TEAM (Together Educators and Administrators Make-it-happen) Award award winner.
