The Dubuque Chorale Children’s Choir is getting ready for our L&MOP concert taking place at Carnegie-Stout Public Library at 10 AM this morning! We are excited to have them here and hope to see you all here for Lollipops and Music for Our Preschoolers on this lovely April morning 🍭 🎶

Our next Lollipops & Music for Our Preschoolers concert is tomorrow, Saturday, April 11 🐰 🌺

We will be doing another themed giveaway drawing with L&MOP. The winner will receive a goodie bag with various fun items including a NISOM gift certificate 🐰 🌺

The DSO proudly announces a landmark recording project celebrating the music of Dubuque-native composer Michael Gilbertson!

The full-length album will feature Gilbertson’s newly commissioned cello concerto, which will receive its world premiere - performed by Grammy Award–winning cellist Zuill Bailey- at the DSO’s The Spirit of Innovation concerts, March 28–29 at Five Flags Theater. The recording will also include Gilbertson’s acclaimed “The Beautiful and the Good”, as well as his Symphony No. 1, which debuted last season on the DSO stage.

The album will be produced by multi-Grammy Award–winning producer Elaine Martone - recently named the 2025 Grammy Producer of the Year - alongside Grammy-winning recording engineer Robert Friedrich.

Supported by generous sponsorship from Susan Farber & Bernie Saks and the State of Iowa, this recording will serve as a lasting artistic legacy, sharing the work of a hometown composer with audiences around the world. We can’t wait to share it with you...stay tuned!
