Registration for the 2026-27 year of classes at the Academy of Ballet will open on Monday, August 3. Returning dancers and families on our contact list will receive an email with details.

If you are new to the Academy of Ballet - welcome!
-Dancers must be age 6 to begin classes
-Beginning ballet class for 6-7 year olds is held Friday 4-5pm
-Accelerated beginning ballet class for 8-12 year olds is held Friday 5-6pm
-Youth ballet classes are offered weekly over an academic year
-Adult ballet classes are offered weekly in 8-week sessions

The All Class Presentation last weekend marked the end of the 2025-26 academic year of classes at the Academy of Ballet. Our dancers performed on stage at the Grand Opera House for family and friends. From our beginning ballerinas to our most accomplished company dancers, everyone performed beautifully! Thank you for a wonderful year!

Opening weekend of Coppelia was spectacular! This ballet is romantic, funny, and beautifully performed by the Heartland Ballet.

Tickets are available for the final weekend of performances at the The Grand Opera House-Dubuque- Saturday, March 27 at 7:30pm and Sunday, March 28 at 2pm.

Rehearsals are well underway for Ballet Dubuque's production of Coppélia. This beloved comic ballet tells the delightful story of Swanhilda, Franz, and the mysterious inventor Dr. Coppélius in a whimsical tale filled with beautiful music and vibrant choreography.

Behind the scenes at Coppélia rehearsal last Saturday at the Academy of Ballet studio space.

Coppélia will be performed March 21-29 by the Heartland Ballet, which includes 44 advanced and company level dancers from the community.
