HAPPY JUNETEENTH βΌοΈ β€οΈππ€ today is a celebration of freedom.
Today we are honoring the resilience and strength of enslaved African Americans who endured unimaginable hardships. Remembering those who fought tirelessly for freedom, justice, and equality. Celebrating the courage of individuals who resisted oppression and paved the way for future generations. Recognizing the leaders, activists, and community members who continued the fight for civil rights long after emancipation. Paying tribute to the ancestors whose sacrifices created opportunities we have today.
Reflecting on the importance of preserving Black history, culture, and achievements. Committing to advancing equity, inclusion, and justice in their honor. Celebrating freedom while acknowledging the ongoing journey toward equality for all! βπ½βπΎβπΏ

Throwback to our Farewell Dinner in April where we heard an amazing keynote from Loras Alum, Asia Singleton β20. She shared and captured her time as a 1st Generation transfer student pursuing a degree in media studies. Asia left us with the quote, βThe detour is not the disasterβ. There may be times when life takes us on journeys that differ from our plan, however we must trust the process along the way. One grows when facing uncomfortable circumstances and situations.
To our senior class, thank you for your contributions to the office and we wish you good luck in your future endeavors!!! πͺπΈπ¨π΄π§π·π²π½π·πΈπ³π΅π¦π·π΅π
