Our goal is to assist with the academic, career, and personal/social development of our students through individual/group counseling, classroom guidance, linking with outside agencies and resources, and collaborating with faculty/staff, parents, and other providers. Congratulations to Michelle "Shelly Bird",our 2017-2018 School Division Teacher of the Year. This lady is one of the finest educators with whom any of us will ever have the opportunity to work. She is beloved by her students, their parents, and her co-workers. Her efforts in the classroom this year were marked by a display of grit, determination, and courage that is usually reserved for battlefields. Over the years, she has inspired thousands of students and positively impacted tens of thousands of lives. We have many great teachers in Pulaski County and there is no doubt that Mrs. Michelle “Shelley” Bird is one of the greatest of them all. Please join me in congratulating Shelley for this honor.

Congratulations, Mrs. Bird!

Pulaski County Public Schools is proud to announce that Mrs. Michelle Bird, a 6th Grade Science Teacher at Dublin Middle School, has been selected as our Teacher of the Year! Adam Joyce, Dublin Middle School Principal, stated "Mrs. Bird genuinely cares for the students in her class in ways many folks might remember from days gone by. Her warm demeanor, willingness to help others and sincere love of the profession make her a teacher with whom any administrator would love to work. She makes those around her better people." Mrs. Bird will be recognized as the DMS Teacher of the Year and PCPS Teacher of the Year at the Pulaski County School Board Meeting on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 6:00.
