What makes a great teacher? For Iya Sensei’s students, it’s creating "a daily home" where they feel safe, respected, and challenged to grow. 🇯🇵✨
Congratulations, Iya Sensei, on your well-deserved nomination for the last Trailblazer Award for the 25-26 school year! Thank you for bringing kindness, patience, and fun to Jerome High School every day.

As I close this chapter, I am filled with gratitude.
Dublin Jerome has been more than a place where I worked. It has shaped me as an educator, leader, husband, father, and person. Serving as principal these last seven years has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
I did not have to do this job; I got to do it.
What I will remember most are the people: our students, staff, families, and community members who care deeply, show up consistently, and make Jerome such a special place.
As I begin a new chapter, I will leave a piece of me here and carry all of you with me always.
Until we meet again, remember you are loved, and you are always a CELT. 💚💛

Today students in AP STUDS hosted a counterculture event to learn, eat, and celebrate the end of the AP US history exam. Students brought in food that was prevalent in the 60s and 70s as well as listened to music of the era and how it related to the feelings of that time period.
In addition, had a pancake party for their freshman advisory classes for their hard work this semester. Go Celts!

Ms. Habak and Dr. Irwin are cheering on our students today to kick the buns of their AP tests! Students, as your tests approach please keep in mind...
Keep a realistic study plan - maintaining a manageable, smaller schedule can prevent last minute cramming.
Take care of your body - stay hydrated and eat nutritious meals, take small breaks, and stay consistent on your sleep schedule.
Recognize when you need help - Talking to your supports groups can make a big difference when you are overwhelmed and remember that you are not alone.
Good luck this week, students!
