CoolTechGirls (CTG) is a nonprofit project with a vision to create a supportive and collaborative environment for school age girls to ignite their passion in science, technology, engineering, and math. educational institutions, namely schools and colleges, to showcase women role models who share their life experiences and career aspirations. A little recap from our Spring Techno Challenge After-School Program! 🤖💻

Our students had so much fun exploring the world of new and emerging technologies, including learning about Artificial Intelligence, getting hands on with Arduino, and discovering the fundamentals of coding and programming 👩‍💻💙

We loved seeing their curiosity and creativity grow throughout the program, and we can’t wait to welcome more students this new school year to our Speak and Lead After-School Program!

What a fun week of learning and innovation! 🔬✨

From LED circuit bracelets and UV handwashing experiments to marble runs, solar ovens, bath bombs, computer based research, and Scratch virtual pets, our students had a new opportunity every day to learn, create, and explore! 💡🧪💻

We wrapped up the week with Invention Day, where our students designed and presented their own creative prototypes!

Big thank you to City of Hilliard Recreation and Parks Department, Chase, Worbots - Team 4145, PPG, and Amgen for the space, volunteers, and funding to make this camp possible! 🩵🎉

This summer we had the pleasure of working with students from South Western City Schools for our TechnoChallenge program. Students were able to combine codes for light and sound stimulus responses using a sensor and build other coding projects using chatbots and Python 💻🤩
Their work culminated in a final project where students created a prototype of a new invention or innovation and presented it to their peers and instructors. Big thanks to Battelle for supporting this program through grant funding! 💙Battelle

Thank you to Columbus Crew for inviting us to the National Women's Soccer League Challenge Cup! We had so much fun seeing Kansas City Current and Gotham FC play each other, a huge first for women’s soccer in Columbus!
