Following on our 235-player East Bay Open, we resume our Tri-Valley Open monthly series on Saturday October 12th at Cottonwood Creek School in Dublin.

We are expecting 80-120 youth and adult players, competing for 35+ trophies and $400 in guaranteed cash prizes over five different sections.

We will offer a low entry fee, 5 rated and unrated half-day sections for youth and adults, trophies and $100 cash first prizes (in the top two sections), and the chance to flex your skills over the board, boost your rating, and have fun!

We're finishing up our first week-long summer chess camp at the Dublin Ranch Golf Clubhouse. Our nearly 20 students - ranging from unrated elementary schoolers to seasoned 1000+ rated middle schoolers - are beating the summer heat with intensive small group lessons, competitive rated games, simuls vs the coaches, and fun mini-tournaments with prizes and trophies.

In concert with our awesome partners at Valley View Elementary School PTA, we will be bringing the First Annual Pleasanton Scholastic Chess Championships to the Valley View Elementary MPR on Sunday April 21st! Open to novice players, after-school chess club members, seasoned online players trying their first in-person tournament, and experienced USCF-rated competitors. Extremely affordable to enter, with trophies for top individuals and school teams in Pleasanton! More details and registration link soon.

Congrats to the top finishers in our Winter-Spring 24 tournament-training classes on Wednesday nights at Fallon Middle School! The next session of our small group classes begins this Wednesday night March 27th. Classes sport a 4 to 8:1 student:coach ratio for personalized lessons and instruction.
