We already knew our homeschoolers were doing well. Still, this is an interesting study.

What did the first nationwide homeschool achievement study in 15 years find?

Researchers found that homeschool students scored substantially above the norm group across every core academic subject:
• Reading: +29 percentile points
• Language: +25
• Math: +25
• Social Studies: +26
• Science: +27

HS English has been reading Up From Slavery, by Booker T. Washington. A prominent leader, he became an advisor to two US Presidents - William Howard Taft from Ohio and Theodore Roosevelt.

To get your pass, visit the Every Kid Outdoors website, participate in a short educational activity, and then download a paper voucher to print and bring with them to visit public lands and waters all across the country.
Or, get the new Digital Every Kid Outdoors 4th Grade Pass.
Every Kid Outdoors begins each year on September 1 and goes through August 31.

Do your kids grow a lot over the summer? Mine do! If you have uniforms in good condition that you would like to give away, use the comments below, maybe someone at school could use them. And if you need new, this is a good month to buy them.
