💙 Student Spotlight: Josiah!

One of the best parts of Life Labs is watching our students take what they learn here and use it at home!

Josiah went home and made a grilled cheese for himself and his brother! 🥪🧀

It may seem like something simple, but being able to confidently make a meal for yourself (and your sibling!) is a BIG life skill. We love seeing these little moments of independence happen. 🥹

Way to go, Josiah! We’re proud of you! 💙🐺

First day = SUCCESS! 🎉 🐺

What an AMAZING first day! 💙

We started academics with some review for our homeschool students, while our online students jumped right into their grade-level work.

One of my favorite things about having mixed ages is seeing the students naturally step into leadership roles. We got to see that start happening on day ONE! 🥰

We also kicked off our first Life Labs class with Jerry, aka Chef JJ! 👨‍🍳 This quarter, we’re spending time in the kitchen learning basic cooking skills and kitchen safety.

Our Bigs (3rd–6th) baked cookies 🍪, while our Littles (Pre-K–2nd) made Jitter Juice 🥤 and practiced measuring and using our soda machine.

There was lots of playing, new friendships, and plenty of laughs throughout the day. ❤️

It was such a great first day, and I’m so excited to see what this year brings! 🐺💙
