Hello everyone,
I recently received some information that I wanted to pass along. The theme for homecoming is a spin off the Hunger Games: the “Homecoming Games.” Our sophomore class voted and got District 1, which is Luxury. I am excited because I have already had a few students give impressive ideas for this a Luxury themed billboard. It seems as though students wish to have a more elaborate billboard (more of a float) this year. I am completely fine with that, but it is the responsibilities of the students to do the work. Last year, I had very few students show up to work, and we did the best we could. I am going to stay after school on Tuesday (September 12th) until 4:00 to allow students to meet and begin working on ideas. Hopefully we can create a list of materials needed. Dollar General gave us cardboard boxes last year, and I am sure they would do it again. Once we get materials, we will have another after school meeting next week for the students to work again. On Tuesday, September 19th at 6:00 we are given the billboard and we have ONLY two hours to put it all together. We need to have everything ready to put on the board at that time. Whatever is not finished at 8:00 p.m. will be left unfinished. I hope this answers any questions, but feel free to email me for additional information.
