📚 Celebrating a Bright Spot on National Literacy Day!

We are proud to share that CG Johnson Elementary and Wasson Elementary have been named The 74 Bright Spots Top Schools!

This recognition honors schools where students are making strong progress in literacy and beating the odds. Our students are working hard, growing as readers, and showing what they can achieve.

This accomplishment is a reflection of the dedication of our students, teachers, and staff who work together every day to help our students succeed.

Congratulations to CG Johnson and Wasson Elementary on this well-deserved recognition! We are proud to celebrate this achievement and the great things happening in our schools. ❤️🖤

✨📚Student Writing Achievement 📚✨

Congratulations to Madalyn Grzeda, a student in Mrs. Hackett’s Creative Writing class, who had one of her stories published by Young Writers.

Madalyn's story, “Undermined,” is a mini-mystery that had to be told in 100 words or fewer. The challenge required creativity, careful word choice, and strong storytelling.

We are proud to celebrate Madalyn's accomplishment and the talent of our student writers. Congratulations, Madalyn on this well-deserved recognition!

Get ready for another exciting season of Beaver Football at E.J. Mansell Stadium! Please review the updated Game Night guidelines for traffic flow, parking, stadium entrances, student requirements, and safety procedures.

⏰ Gates open at 6:00 p.m.
Students in Grades K–7 must be accompanied by an adult who remains in the stadium. Students in Grade 8 and above may attend without an accompanying adult.

🚗Traffic Flow & Parking
MAIN ENTRANCE — Liberty Boulevard
The main entrance off Liberty Boulevard is for PARKING ONLY. There will be no through traffic at this entrance.
STUDENT DROP-OFF — Beaver Drive
Student drop-off will take place at the Beaver Drive entrance, utilizing the bus lane for student drop-off. Traffic will continue through the designated route and exit the area.

🅿️ Reserved Parking
Reserved parking behind Mansell Stadium is available by PERMIT ONLY.

A ticket or permit is required, and Event Staff will be present to monitor the reserved parking area.

Vehicles will not be permitted in this area to drop off students or fans.

DuBois Area Athletics is excited to officially launch BSPN — Beavers Sports Network, our new in-house athletics livestream and media production platform!
But BSPN is about more than streaming games.

Yes, our goal is to bring Beaver athletics to more fans, families, alumni, and members of our community through high-quality broadcasts on Hudl TV. We want to showcase the incredible student-athletes who proudly represent DuBois Area and create a more engaging experience for everyone watching.

But the real vision goes beyond the scoreboard.

As BSPN continues to grow, our goal is to create meaningful educational and hands-on opportunities for our students. Through our partnership with the District's READY initiative, BSPN has the potential to give students interested in:

🎙️ Broadcasting
📰 Journalism
📱 Marketing & Social Media
🎬 Video Production
..the opportunity to gain real-world experience using industry-level technology and developing skills that can lead to future internships, scholarships, employment opportunities, and leadership experiences.

BSPN will also help us tell the stories that happen beyond the game. From student-athlete spotlight features and behind-the-scenes content to highlighting the dedication, work ethic, accomplishments, and personalities of the students who wear the Beaver uniform, we want our community to get to know the people behind the jerseys.

And it all starts this weekend.
