✨Innovation was on full display at P-TECH-Palooza earlier this week!

Students met with mentors and proudly showcased their passion projects. From innovative builds to creative problem-solving, the projects were a wonderful showcase of our student’s talent and dedication! 🙌

The day wrapped up with an exciting game of drone soccer. It was a high-flying finish to an incredible PTECH Palooza! 🎉

Congratulations to our P-TECH students who walked the stage at Tompkins Cortland Community College’s 57th Spring Commencement this week! 📜

These three amazing young men completed the P-TECH program as they earned their high school diploma and associates degree on Tuesday night at no cost to them or their families. That’s the P-TECH advantage! 💙

It should also be noted that all three have been employees in TC3's IT Department.

When classroom learning meets real community challenges, it opens the door to real experiences 💧

Recently, TST P-TECH was represented by Principal Christine Alexander and WBL Coordinator Matt Hartz on stage at New York’s Water Event as part of a keynote session highlighting the One Water Workforce.

Through our partnership with Bolton Point, P-TECH students have spent the past year researching how harmful algal blooms impact our local community through project-based learning.

We were so proud to see Steve Riddle and the Bolton Point team be awarded the Teresa Boepple-Swider Award for their work with us and in the water industry.

Innovation in action at Engineering Wars 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣

Last Thursday, two Team TST groups traveled to Onondaga Community College to compete in the P-TECH Region II Engineering Wars, taking on 19 teams in a same-day design challenge!

Students were tasked with building a Rube Goldberg machine, using simple machines like pulleys, levers, and ramps to move a marble through a chain reaction and ultimately turn on a light. The machine had to be at least 5 feet long, which just so happened to be about one Amber or one Theesfeld tall 😄

Judged by industry professionals, the competition came down to three top teams, and our students delivered!
