Grant County Schools is excited to celebrate the JAG program at GCHS!



Grant County High School JAG (Job’s for America’s Graduates) is excited to invite you to our upcoming I&I and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, November 16th at 8:30 am. Newly elected student officials will be introduced during the I&I Ceremony and the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony will follow immediately afterward. We anticipate the entire event lasting approximately one hour.

The goal of this ceremony is to celebrate the opening of a JAG program at Grant County High School and to highlight what our program has to offer to the community. The mission of the JAG program is to inspire, empower, and prepare students to lead tomorrow’s workforce. To accomplish this mission, JAG must be more than a school-based program, but a community-based program. We look forward to partnering with you and the Grant County community and hope to see you on November 16th!

JAG KY Students volunteered to get the football field game ready for a Monday JV game and Homecoming this Friday night! Go Braves!

JAG KY Students practiced their GNAP handshakes this week and shared a WOW, POW, CHOW with their new classmates! Effectively utilizing a GNAP (Greeting, Name, Affiliation, Purpose) handshake is an important skill when introducing yourself to someone such as a potential employer.

Excited to be a small part of helping start Grant County High School JAG! This is a new program that aims to inspire, empower, and prepare our students to lead in the workforce. Thank you to Grant County Schools (KY) and JAG KY for bringing this program to our students and asking me to be a part of it. We start class on Monday!

JAG KY is coming to Grant County High School - KY! We have met with several outstanding young individuals this past week and will begin class on Monday! These students are aiming to enhance their leaderships skills and explore career opportunities so that they will SUCCEED in life as Grant County Graduates!
