At Synap2it we meet our students where they are at! We build up skills one level at a time. These booklets are designed to improve reading and math skills by developing controlled eye movement, mental processing, and accuracy. 🧠 👀
If focusing skills are left underdeveloped a student may experience difficulty when working on activities that are visually demanding. The student may experience symptoms of fatigue such as headache, eye strain, and skipping lines or words when reading, to name a few.
Typically when a student masters these booklets we hear about improvements in their ability to maintain on task with near-point activities, such as reading or paperwork.
The good news is that these skills can be strengthened and improved! That's the power of neuroplasticity. 💪 👀 🧠

Have you heard of The Brock String? It is incredible and once practiced can be life-changing! This simple string helps develop concentration and visual stamina abilities, directly impacting reading and handwriting! 👀 📖 ✍️
The eyes must be able to converge to be able to process and form letters properly. Typically when a student masters this module we see improvements in the ability of the eyes to converge on a singular point.
This can influence the appearance of the letters that make up blends, vowel pairs, or even single vowels or consonants in order to be able to sound out words.
If students do not have this skill developed they can experience extreme fatigue and problems with stamina when studying, reading, and doing homework.
The best news is that the brain has and can grow, heal, and improve over time with targeted training. The brain is fascinating, beautiful, and powerful! 🧠

Ms. Jenny finished an exercise module! She's been developing mental processing, coordination, sequencing, and physical stamina abilities!
The activity she mastered prepares the eyes to do the work of reading more efficiently by training them to sweep left-to-right in a smooth motion. This helps establish a strong foundation for visually demanding activities and assignments.

Ms. Abigail is demonstrating one of the ways we help our students develop their balance skills! Walking up and down this beam *heel to toe* affects attention abilities. This in turn plays a big part in keeping our students focused in class and their extracurriculars!
We focus on precision here at Synap2it and raise the bar for expectations to help our students strive for the best they can do. The satisfaction they feel when they accomplish the task at a high level of precision is indescribable! We love seeing the smiles on their faces when they notice the difference.
Interested to see how your student balances? Have them try to walk heel-to-toe very carefully both forward and backward. You may be surprised by what you see!

Ms. Sophie & Ms. Abigail here today! One thing we love to do with our students is play a quick 'Check-In Game' called Rose, Bud, Thorn.
🌹 The Rose is something that made you happy today (or since the last time we saw one another)
🌱 The Bud is something you are looking forward to! Just like a blooming flower
🔺 The Thorn is an opportunity for our students to share something that's been bothering them or something they wish could have gone better.
This check-in helps our students feel heard and identify different emotions. It also helps us stay on track during our training session.
