Personal Statement:

I grew up in the Texas Hill Country, graduated from high school in Comfort and have deep roots in Dripping Springs. Work positioned my family out of state for a number of years and during those years our children attended both private and magnet public schools. When we returned to Texas in 2012 we chose to make Dripping Springs our home because DSISD provides an education that matches or exceeds any other Austin-area school and also provides an incredible array of extra-curricular opportunities. I have enjoyed volunteering at campuses on all levels throughout the district and with the DS Education Foundation as well as other local organizations supporting students and the community. Since returning to my Texas roots and making Dripping Springs our home, I have met people from a variety of backgrounds, from long-time DS residents to those brand new, some from the furthest corners of the US. I would love to help bring synergy to all of these voices, strengthening our school system in ways that are not necessarily measured by standardized tests, but by the individual success stories of each of our students. I believe that my education, experience and broad perspective can be helpful to the DSISD school board. I welcome the opportunity to work tirelessly for this district! Following the heartbreaking passing of a varsity football player from Lake Travis High School, the Dripping Springs HS Football game scheduled for Friday, August 28, against the Cavaliers has been canceled.

Our entire athletic department, coaching staﬀ, administration, and student-athletes extend our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to the student’s family, friends, the team, and the entire Lake Travis community during this unimaginably diﬃcult time.

The Tigers will open the 2026 season on Friday, September 4, at Tiger Stadium against Harlan.

As a trustee on the board that hired Dr. Morris-Kuentz in 2021, I am so proud of the job she has done and grateful Region 13 recognized how effective she has been!

Congrats to Dripping Springs ISD Superintendent Holly Morris-Kuentz for being named ESC Region 13 Superintendent of the Year for 2026!

So proud of DSHS Tiger Baseball – for their season’s wins, for blasting through pre-season expectations, but most importantly, for their *class* in representing Dripping Springs ISD. After attending the UIL State semis, I feel sure my board colleagues and I knew we were watching winners in life!

⚾️𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗

DSHS Tiger Baseball takes down PSJA 7-2 in a winner-take-all Game 3 to advance to the state semifinals for the second consecutive season!

With the regional finals series victory, the Tigers secured back-to-back state semifinal appearances for the first time in program history and set a new program record with 31 wins in a single season! 🎉

Dripping Springs will face Houston Memorial in the state semifinals. Series information and ticket details will be announced soon.

Congratulations to the Dripping Springs High School Hi-Steppers and Dazzlers on bringing home 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗟𝗘𝗦 at the Crowd Pleasers Texas State Showcase in Burleson! ✨

🥇🥇The Hi-Steppers earned their second consecutive championship, taking home the Small High School Varsity title and being named Overall Varsity State Champion Team!

🥇🥇🥇🥇The Dazzlers made it four straight championships, winning both the Large Junior Varsity division and the Overall Junior Varsity State Champion Team title!
