Dripping Springs Toastmasters

Dripping Springs Toastmasters Dripping Springs Toastmasters is a public speaking club that consists of members from the Texas Hill Who? Where? When? We meet every Tuesday evening at 6:30PM. Why?

Dripping Springs Toastmasters is a group of people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities that live in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, west of Austin. We're brought together by a desire to develop our speaking and leadership skills. We have fun working together and encouraging each other to excel. We meet in the Precinct 4 Building, 195 Roger Hanks Pkwy in Dripping Springs. Our meetings are Hyb

rid now so if you can't join us in person, you can catch on on Zoom. Please email us at [email protected] and we'll send you the Zoom link to attend. Meetings are 1 hour long (we strive to keep the meeting only 1 hour in length). We encourage you to show up 10-15 minutes early so we can get to know you better. Because it's good for you! Improve your confidence in public situations. Learn to speak (and listen) more effectively. Become a more effective leader. Because it's fun! Find some great friends! Enjoy an environment of mutual support and encouragement. How? Start by dropping in for a visit. You're always welcome! Members develop their speaking skills by presenting prepared speeches on a topic of their choice, but with a focus on improving a particular aspect of public speaking. There's also a portion of the meeting reserved for short impromptu speeches. (Visitors are issued a get-out-of-speaking pass at no charge when the meeting begins.) Finally, members provide positive and constructive feedback to the speakers, letting them know what they did well, and pointing out areas where they can improve. Of course, this doesn't all happen by itself. It takes participation and leadership to keep things organized and on schedule. Members fill supporting or leadership roles in each meeting. Whether you're the Timer, making sure everything happens within the planned time, the Grammarian, tracking and reporting on speech habits (bad and good), the Toastmaster, keeping things moving along, or one of the other supporting role players, you are learning skills that will help you become a more effective leader. What Else? The club was organized 14 years ago, and we are proud to have won the President's Distinguished Toastmasters Club award every year since. Come join us and see what the excitement is all about. The only thing missing from having a perfect meeting is YOU!
