A mighty CONGRATULATIONS to the students of Sycamore Springs MS and their director, Dawn-Marie Schafer, who made their CARNEGIE HALL DEBUT this week! Students participated in a festival of music by Greg Gilpin this past weekend, and spent hours rehearsing and preparing for their performance on Sunday afternoon. They knocked it out of the park! Way to go, Sycamore Springs MS Choir! You all took New York City by storm and left your mark in the Big Apple! 🍎 🗽🎶

Biggest tax break in recent DSISD history!

At Monday's meeting, the DSISD Board of Trustees approved the largest tax rate reduction in more than 15 years. The 2023 rate of $1.1075 per $100 of certified property value is an 18.54-cent decrease from the 2022 rate.

Meet Chris Treadwell, Dripping Springs High School health services teacher. She previously taught at the college level, but she’s now helping kids get started earlier.

Did you know that if an incoming freshman with a desire to work in the medical field took Principles of Health Sciences and stayed with the program all 4 years, they could graduate as a certified medical assistant and go straight into the field from high school?
Pretty cool!

Congrats to our new school board members Kim Cousins and Rob McClelland! Also congratulations to Stefani Reinold for her new position as president and Olivia Barnard as secretary. Mary Jane is our new vice president!

On Monday, Kim Cousins and Rob McClelland were sworn in to three-year terms on the DSISD Board of Trustees.

Board officers for the following year are:
Dr. Stefani Reinold, President
Dr. Mary Jane Hetrick, Vice President
Olivia Barnard, Secretary

Our school board has approved new school resources officers to increase campus safety for our children.
