Little hands. Real experiences. Room to grow. 🌿
Welcome to The Rooted Child Project, our proprietary early childhood curriculum built around curiosity, independence, and the belief that children deserve time to learn deeply, at their own pace.
Here, learning happens through stories, counting, outdoor discoveries, everyday tasks, and relationships. We follow children’s interests and thoughtfully introduce experiences that support their next steps, in academics, practical skills, and emotional growth.
Something as simple as pouring water gives a child the opportunity to coordinate their movements, notice what happens, adjust, and try again. With time and practice, “I need help” begins to become “I can do this.”
Letters and numbers matter. So does knowing how to ask a question, care for yourself, work through frustration, and try another way when something doesn’t go as planned.
We’re here to share those moments, and help you recognize the learning unfolding in your own child’s everyday life.
Welcome to a childhood rooted in wonder. 🤎

Teacher retention, it’s a hard topic in child care. Statistics show 6 months and the burnout happens, it’s why there is such a high turnover, but how do you balance the chaotic nature of childcare and the mental health of your teachers? That’s a good question that doesn’t have a perfect answer. OY isn’t perfect, but we do have 1/2 of our staff that’s been with us for a YEAR+. Want to join a family where teachers are supported, trusted, and encouraged? Book a tour, we’d love to have ya!
