Our Upper Elementary students enjoyed Pi Day! Of course, making apple pie was on the agenda. Students also enjoyed a friendly competition to see who could memorize the most digits of Pi. Our winner memorized 48 digits! Way to go!

Upper Elementary’s 6th graders presented to the Kindergarteners an impression of the scale of the solar system with the interplanetary distance string material they created themselves. They prepared facts about each planet and had questions prepared for their “students”. The Kindergarteners got to experience a scale model of how vast the solar system is!

Everyone loves when its Reading buddies time! 💛📖 Our Upper Elementary students love reading with our Kindergarteners, and the younger ones enjoy every moment. Mixed-age activities like this are a huge part of Montessori education, helping to build leadership, confidence for emerging and experienced, and a strong sense of community.
