The annual 'Farm Day' event at the Weakley County Schools Ag Complex continues to deliver a consistently engaging experience for our agricultural students, providing a platform for alumni and students to demonstrate their expertise in food preparation and hospitality while showcasing facility updates to guests. This year's event drew distinguished attendees, including Tennessee Commissioner of Agriculture Andy Holt, representatives from our agricultural partnership organizations, central office staff, the county judge, school board members, county commissioners, road supervisor, educators, and retired faculty. Sincere appreciation is extended to the Dresden FFA Alumni for their valuable assistance with food preparation and service, delivered in collaboration with our students and staff.

Appreciation is extended to the 8th-grade class of Dresden Middle School for visiting the Weakley County School Ag Complex and the DHS Ag Department on May 7th. Special recognition is accorded to Mayor Dale Hutcherson, who served as the guest speaker, offering insightful commentary on Weakley County's prospects and providing motivational guidance to prospective high school students. Gratitude is expressed to the students who led groups and taught stations, as well as to Mr. Sam McMinn, who assisted Mr. Holden and Mr. Kemp with teaching stations. Additionally, thanks are extended to Ms. Overholt for managing the sound system and time rotation.

The Weakley County Schools Ag Complex has been exceptionally busy, recently hosting Martin Elementary students during their career week, where complex students led tours and fellow complex sponsors showcased various agricultural careers.

We are very excited to be participating in this forage project!!! Students at the Weakley County School Ag Complex should be able to gather very useful data that we hope will help in this research project.

We had a blessed week at the Weakley County Schools Ag Complex!!
We could not operate without all of our partnerships and we are so thankful for each and everyone of them.
Monday Mr. Zach Forsythe UT Martin’s Farm Manager got our corn plots planted with the rest of the farm in Nutrien Ag Solutions (Hal Bynum) seed variety.
Titan Ag Crew :
Dakota Brasher -Titan Sales,
Craig Glasco- Agrigold
Mitch Holmberg- Titan Ag
Agronomist
McCall Thompson- Titan Ag Sales planted 16 different corn hybrids in their plot of Agrigold and Southeastern Seed.

Dillion Gardner Weakley Farmers CO-OP planted 15 corn hybrid varieties additionally planting a planter box nutritional trial with 5 different biologicals and micronutrients added to the seed.

Ending the week on Friday with Eli Patrick of Nutrien Ag Solutions getting our pastures fertilized.

Thank you to each and everyone who partner with Weakley County Schools Ag Complex. Without you, our success in agriculture and educating our agricultural students would be limited.
Thank you for removing that limitation.
Now blessed with a soft rain to activate everything!!

WCS Ag Comlex had another group of great visitors come and tour the facilities March 12th from UT Martin.
Mr. Zack Forsythe brought his two animal science labs to visit us at the Complex.
