Introducing Our SJBMS House Names! 🏠✨

Our new SJBMS Houses are rooted in the life and legacy of our patron saint, Saint John the Baptist. Each name carries a special connection to his story and to our faith:

💧 Water — Saint John the Baptist baptized with water, calling people to conversion and new life.

🔥 Fire — A symbol of the Holy Spirit.

💡 Light — Saint John the Baptist baptized Jesus, who is the Light of the World.

🏜️ Wilderness — Saint John the Baptist lived and preached in the wilderness, preparing the way for Christ.

🌬️ Wind — A reminder that God speaks through the voice within each of us, calling us to listen, live our faith, and make a difference.

These Houses will help build community, foster school spirit, and remind our students that, like Saint John, we are each called to prepare the way for Christ.

What a week of preparation, teamwork, and service! ❤️

Our Saint John the Baptist Middle School faculty and staff wrapped up a wonderful week by coming together for a special service project, building care kits for new mothers. What a beautiful way to put our faith into action and serve others!

After a great week, our teachers are ready to welcome our students back on Monday! 🎉📚

We can’t wait to see our halls filled with our students again. Here’s to a wonderful new school year! ✨

Congratulations to Conrad Mergenthal who was selected to represent Utah in the Little League World Series - Mountain Regional playoffs. There is a .1% probability of making it to the playoffs. The team consists of 11 boys Utah County, Conrad was the only player selected from Salt Lake County.

🙏 Starting the School Year with Faith & Fellowship!

The halls of Saint John the Baptist Middle School may be empty, but our teachers and staff gathered today for the first day of the 2026–2027 school year!

We began the morning in the best way possible with Mass celebrated by Fr. Michael Augustine, taking time to pray, reflect, and place the year ahead in God’s hands. ❤️

Following Mass, our teachers and staff gathered for breakfast, fellowship, and a little time to connect before another school year begins.

Here’s to a new school year filled with faith, learning, friendship, and countless opportunities to grow! We are blessed to have such a dedicated team ready to welcome our students back. 📚✏️

The uniform swap will be held next week in the Saint John the Baptist Elementary School Multi Purpose Room. It’s a wonderful opportunity to pick up gently used uniforms—free of charge—and start building your school year wardrobe.
