It feels especially fitting that today is International Day of Education and this week I’m also celebrating four years of Mountaintop Education Consulting.

What started as a small step has grown into work alongside educators in U.S. public schools and with teachers in Guatemala, Peru, and the Philippines. This year also includes helping lead an international educator conference in the Philippines—an experience that has been both grounding and inspiring.

No matter the setting, the heart of the work hasn’t changed: supporting educators so they can do what they do best for students.

I’m deeply grateful for the teachers, administrators, partners, and friends who have trusted this work and walked alongside it over the past four years. I’m thankful, a little amazed, and looking ahead with hope.

As the new year begins, I’m thinking of the many educators doing important work each day. I took this video yesterday on a winter hike in Vermont, and watching the river felt like a reminder that even when things feel full and demanding, there is still forward movement and purpose. Wishing you clarity, encouragement, and steady progress in the year ahead.
