What is a “Servant Leader”
Before I could make the decision to run for public office I had to think about my “why”. After all, I have had a successful career as a Navy pilot (serving our country in Operation Desert Storm) and I have a terrific life now as an entrepreneur, Realtor and father.
Throughout my life, from the time before I went to the Naval Academy until today I have always felt that leadership is not about leading people, but about serving them. I think those who represent you should truly do your business and make our fantastic area strong. That is where the term “servant leadership” comes from.
I am excited to meet as many of the great people of the 144th over the next few months, learn what is important to you, and have a conversation about how my service to our community - just like my service to our country - can benefit us all.
