🐹 A Special Visitor! 🐹

This week our children loved meeting a sweet little hamster at Lightbridge Academy of Doylestown! This visit tied into our curriculum as the children learned about caring for animals, using gentle hands, observing living things, and asking thoughtful questions.

A tiny visitor brought some big learning moments! 💙🐾

This Memorial Day weekend, our Lightbridge Academy of Doylestown family pauses to honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who have served and sacrificed for our country. 🇺🇸

In our classrooms, even our youngest learners are beginning to understand important values like kindness, gratitude, respect, and remembrance. Through stories, art, songs, and simple conversations, we help our children learn why it matters to say “thank you” to those who protect our freedoms.

We are grateful for our military families, veterans, active-duty service members, and especially those who gave their lives in service to our nation.

All month long, our children have been learning about Poppy Day and the meaning behind Memorial Day. 🌺❤️🤍💙

Across our classrooms, the children explored the red poppy 🌺 as a symbol of remembrance and learned, in age-appropriate ways, why it is important to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Through art, stories, conversations, and special classroom activities, they learned about gratitude, respect, and remembering those who made great sacrifices for our freedom. 🌺

We are so proud of how thoughtfully our children have taken part in these meaningful lessons.

🌱 Our Children’s Garden is Growing! 🌱

This week at Lightbridge Academy of Doylestown, our little gardeners officially started planting their crops!

The children helped prepare the soil, learned about irrigation, and explored an ancient watering method using terracotta pots. They planted zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, lavender, radishes, basil, and sweet peppers. 🍅🥒🫑🌿

This hands-on experience ties beautifully into our curriculum. The children are learning science as they explore what plants need to grow, math as they compare sizes and measure growth, language as they learn new garden vocabulary, and social skills as they work together to care for our garden.

Our preschoolers helped build the cucumber trellis, using teamwork and problem-solving skills, while our toddlers helped water all the plants in and practiced caring for living things. 💦

We love seeing learning come to life in such a meaningful way. A little soil, a little sunshine, and a lot of curiosity make the perfect recipe for growth! 🌻

A Day in the Life of a Classroom at Lightbridge Academy of Doylestown ✨

Every day in our classrooms is filled with learning, laughter, friendship, and discovery.

From morning hellos and circle time, to stories, songs, art, sensory play, outdoor fun, and hands-on activities, our children are always busy growing in big and small ways.

They build friendships, practice independence, explore new ideas, and learn through play with the love and guidance of their teachers.

At Lightbridge Academy of Doylestown, every classroom has its own little rhythm, but they all share the same heart: happy children, caring teachers, and a whole lot of learning disguised as fun. 💙
