Another great day of professional development in CBSD! Secondary teachers who are transitioning to new schools through realignment spent the day in their future buildings, meeting new principals and colleagues. It was wonderful to see so many educators building connections and preparing for a successful school year ahead.

It was a great day of professional learning for our elementary teachers! Kindergarten teachers participated in a Full Day Kindergarten session, while grades 1-5 focused on strengthening writing instruction. It's always inspiring to see our educators collaborating, learning, and growing together to support student success.

Here are some more photos from yesterday's Senior Walk!

The atmosphere in all of our elementary schools was incredible as students and staff cheered on our graduating seniors during this special CB tradition. From hugs with former teachers to high-fives from current students, it was a memorable celebration of how far these students have come.

Congratulations to all of our seniors as they prepare to graduate tomorrow! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see what comes next.

One of our favorite CB traditions took place yesterday — the Senior Walk!

Graduating seniors returned to their former elementary schools dressed in their caps and gowns, reconnecting with the teachers who helped shape their journey. Along the way, current elementary students lined the halls to cheer on the soon-to-be graduates and celebrate their accomplishments.

It was a special full-circle moment for students, staff, and families alike. Stay tuned — we'll be sharing more photos from this memorable day later today!

With graduation around the corner, it’s time to party like it’s 1999! We recently emailed our alumni list asking for photos from their own graduation days to help us celebrate this year’s class. Thank you to these grads from 1983 through 2021 who sent in pics!

We heard from an alum who graduated with his best friend, both on crutches due to baseball injuries: “You can see us leaning on each other,” he wrote. A current Butler first-grade teacher of 29 years shared her graduation day with a Buckingham bear, a current Unami teacher is sending her son to CB East in the fall, and a current CB special education teacher still coaches the CB South girls’ soccer team, just as she did in high school. Another alum was a CB music educator for 35 years, and a 1998 grad has a son graduating from CB West and a 1988 grad has a son graduating from CB South this year.

Congrats to all the 1,491 members of the Class of 2026! They’ll join our alumni ranks this Thursday. Learn more on CBSD.org. We’re looking forward to celebrating with this year’s grads and families soon!

Last week we had the honor of celebrating two groups of people who make CB such a special place: the employees whose careers have left a lasting impact on our students, schools and communities, and the recipients of this year’s Apple Awards — internal awards that recognize nominated employees for certain programs, projects, and initiatives that have benefited students and colleagues across the district.

Thank you to our retirees for your years of service, dedication, and commitment to generations of CB students and families, and congrats to our Apple Award winners for the creativity, collaboration, and leadership you bring to our schools and district each day!

View photos from the ceremony and see the complete list of retirees and Apple Award winners in a story on CBSD.org.

Cold Spring Elementary students scored a big win for a great cause!

After raising more than $11,500 for the Eagles Autism Foundation—surpassing their $10,000 goal—students celebrated with a special visit from Philadelphia Eagles mascot SWOOP!

Through a schoolwide coin drive and community-supported fundraising events, students came together to make a meaningful impact. The celebration featured games, music, student participation, and plenty of excitement as SWOOP joined in the fun.

Congratulations to the Cold Spring community for making a difference and supporting autism research and programs!

Our CB District Art Show, Art in Bloom, was a wonderful celebration of creativity this weekend! Students from every grade level showcased incredible talent through artwork that truly brought this year's theme to life.

Congratulations to all of our student artists for sharing their imagination, hard work, and creativity with the community. Your artwork was inspiring, and we are so proud of all you accomplished!
