13 years ago this little fuzzy ball of sunshine came to me as a gift from my daughter, in one of the hardest chapters of my life. Sydney was destined to be ours as she was born on Keith’s and my 25th wedding anniversary. I’m not sure who saved who, but we were definitely each other’s support. She stayed long enough to get me through Keith’s illness and passing. There were days in the beginning that she was my reason to get out of bed because she needed me to. Last night I had to say goodbye to my sweet girl. The death of our furry loved ones can hurt as much as our humans. She’s teaching me healing even as she’s left the earth plain and I’m sure what I will learn will allow me to continue to help others in their losses too. I’m sure she was greeted with hugs from her papa when she crossed the rainbow bridge. Rest in peace my sweet little lady, I will forever cherish our companionship and her unconditional love ❤️‍🩹🐾
