The signs associated with and comparing the Night of Decree are as follows:
**Comparative Signs:**
- The intensity of light and brightness on that night. These signs are only felt by those who are far away from city lights.
- Tranquility of the heart and expansion of the believer's chest. They will find more peace, tranquility, and openness on that night than in any other night.
- Some scholars mention that the winds will be calm on that night, without storms, making the weather suitable.
- Allah may show the person visions in their sleep, as happened with some of the Companions.
- People find more pleasure and energy in standing in worship on that night than in any other night.
**Subsequent Signs:**
- The sun rises without strong rays in the morning of that day, unlike its usual appearance.
- It is said that the barking of dogs decreases or stops entirely on that night, but this is not always consistent.
- One should look forward to that night's worship with enthusiasm and strengthen their faith and belief.
- Supplicating with the prayers taught by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is recommended like saying, "O Allah, you are the Forgiver, and you love forgiveness, so forgive us."
In a hadith narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) what to say if she knew which night was the Night of Decree, and he advised her to say the supplication mentioned above.
