Family, Food, and Fun! Children 18 and under can get a free meal at the Anderson Library from 12pm-1pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until July 31st. Each day we will have a different craft/activity.

Come on down to the library: stay cool, sign-up for summer reading, and get free meal!

We had a good time meeting the families and people that stopped by the Shasta Public Libraries' booth for the City Fair! We met so many people who love the library and some who haven't been yet.

At Shasta Literacy, we offer free tutoring for adults who need help reading and writing or speaking English. If you or anyone you know could use some help, reach out to us today!

The Literacy Department of the Shasta Public Libraries is a free tutoring program for adults who need reading and writing support.
We have volunteer tutors who can help adults learn to improve their reading and writing, earn their GED, study for citizenship test, learn English as a Second Language, and more.
If you know someone who wants to feel better about their reading and writing, let them know about Shasta Literacy!

High School Juniors and Seniors!

Make plans to attend College Quest on Monday, October 14 on the campus of Shasta College. From 5:30 - 7:30pm, you can learn information about colleges, universities, the military, and trade schools. This event is put on by College and Career Options. The purpose is to help you make plans for after graduation.

Come to the Weaverville Joss House State Historic Park on September 21, 2024, to celebrate the Mid Autume Moon Festival from 10am to 2pm. This free family event will highlight free tours of the 1874 Taoist Temple, kids craft projects, a story walk featuring Chinese stories about the Moon Festival along with Moon Cookies and Green Chinese ice cream.
