Congratulations to Julie Vowell Ramirez, who was announced as a Beatrice Locke Hogan Award Honorable Mention Honoree at Convention! This award recognizes an alumna member that serves in an alumnae chapter or local community in addition to serving in a Panhellenic community through various roles. Julie has served at the Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association President, Vice President, Treasurer, Nomination Chairman, Citation Member, Ways & Means Co-Chair, Recording Secretary, Recruitment Committee Member, Yearbook Committee Member, Scholarship Committee Co-Chair, Recruitment Committee Co-Chair, Scholarship Chairman, Recruitment Information Chairman, and the Trustee and Treasurer of the Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Foundation. Congratulations to Rochelle Bullock on receiving The Foundation’s highest honor, the Philanthropist of the Year Award at Gamma Phi Beta’s Convention! 🤍 This award recognizes a member whose philanthropic efforts outside of Gamma Phi Beta have created meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of others. Rochelle’s service has inspired us—from helping raise $2.2 million for Episcopal High School, to chairing a $450,000 gala for LifeHouse Houston, to serving on the board of Breakthrough T1D, where she’ll chair next year’s signature gala supporting its nearly $4 million annual fundraising efforts. Within Gamma Phi Beta, Rochelle also serves as Chair of the Parent & Family Giving Society, Vice President of the Greater Houston Alumnae Chapter, and Houston Area Panhellenic Delegate. Her legacy isn’t defined solely by the dollars raised but by the lives changed through her leadership and service. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor! ✨

The Houston Alumnae Chapter brought home the Clara Warden Membership Excellence Award from Convention! ✨This award honors alumnae chapters that have shown continuous growth of membership over a four-year period. The chapters must show a direct benefit through various chapter events, their members and general alumnae chapter life. Alumnae chapter awardees must demonstrate improvements in all areas of chapter life, including communications, public relations, collegiate chapter support, member involvement, membership growth, membership retention, member recognition, philanthropy, and chapter operations. Hurray for a job well done, and a special thanks to our Executive Board for their dedication to the growth of our chapter! 🌙

Gamma Phi has two committee chairs this year (Stephanie Goldfield - Community Service, and Tori Wagner - Research & Education). Joining a committee is a great way to participate within your schedule and interest.
