This summer has gone by so fast. This morning was my last taught Goat Yoga class of the summer season with Goat for the Soul. Beautiful weather, sweet goats, and a great group, hard to beat.
Followed it up with a wine tasting at Links Bridge Vineyards, right on the Monocacy River, on an absolutely perfect afternoon.
A bit of history: Links Bridge Vineyards sits near Utica, Maryland, just north of Frederick. Owners Joan Cartier and Robert Thompson bought the land in 2003 and planted their first cabernet franc vines in 2009. What started as a one-acre vineyard selling grapes to Old Westminster Winery has grown into a full working farm winery, they took home Best in Class for Red Wine and Best in Class for Off-Dry Wine at the 2022 Maryland Governor’s Cup. Down by the river, you can still see remnants of the original Old Links Bridge that gave the vineyard its name.
