We're moving East Ward Elementary School's playground into the future! The wooden playground has gotten more use (and adoration) than could have been imagined!
It is time for East Ward Elementary School to say "good-bye" to our beloved castle playground that was built, by community effort, in 1991. However, it has already begun its steady decline into a state of disrepair! East Ward Home & School Association is undertaking this fundraising project to replace the old structures with new and exciting playground components! Home & School is seeking to raise

Our walkers safe, he waves to the car and bus riders, he does Magic tricks, he reminds the kids to do their homework, he is amazing. If you see him today, remind him today is HIS day! Don’t forget his birthday is next week too!

Our playground was truly built by the East Ward community. One of the most valued members of that community is our dedicated crossing guard, Mr. Jim Duca. Mr. Jim’s 87th bday is June 9th. Please mark your calendars and give him a honk, wave, or a birthday wish!

One year ago we were in the midst of installing our final piece of the playground. We were ecstatic and looking forward to planning our Grand Opening. Little did we know the plans the universe had instead. We are still as grateful today as we were then. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our delayed, but well deserved Grand Opening in the future!
