Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation is hosting a free webinar, Youth-Led Transition Planning and Financial Education in IEPs, on September 24, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. EST.

The PEAL Center will be providing information and guidance on how to prepare for a youth-led transition planning meeting. There will also be a discussion on what student-centered planning looks like and how IEP goals are used to map out the future, such as independent living and money management.

What to Expect at a Meeting:

Each Local Task Force meets no fewer than five times per year. Meetings are free and include opportunities for:
▪️Parent Input
▪️Networking with families
▪️Communication with local school districts and community providers
▪️Sharing Resources to support students and families
▪️Discussion and Presentations on current issues and best practices in Special Education
▪️Referral of Systemic Issues to appropriate agencies or the State Task Force for clarification, recommendations, or resolution
▪️Recommendations to improve and strengthen services for school-age children with disabilities
