At Radha-Lasya we believe in learning Kuchipudi the right way in a safe and fun environment.

Our Lakshmi Group star Sreya (6 yrs) practicing her Kuchipudi at home — singing the lyrics herself and rehearsing each step with such joy! 🎶💃

Baby sister Sreshta following every move, turning practice time into the sweetest sister moment.

When practice becomes their own choice, it naturally turns into discipline… into routine… into passion.

That kind of inner drive cannot be forced or taught overnight. It is nurtured patiently — and when a child begins to carry it within herself, that is the most beautiful reward a teacher can receive. 🌸

This Valentine’s Day at RadhaLasya, our little dancers expressed love through movement — holding heart gestures as they performed their Kuchipudi steps. 💖

May we continue to spread love, grace, joy, and kindness — one step at a time.

✨ Diwali vibes at RadhaLasya! ✨
With Diwali just around the corner, our Lakshmi group — the cutest bunch of 6 & 7-year-olds — had a fun chat about why we celebrate it! From the Ramayana to “victory of good over evil,” they had so many stories to tell!

Big shoutout to our amazing RadhaLasya parents for teaching these little storytellers about our culture and traditions! Stay tuned for our little Diwali play 🪔

Ksheerabdi kanyakaku - RadhaLasya Kuchipudi School 11/02/2023

RadhaLasya kids Kuchipudi performance at Hindu Temple of Delaware for Dussera cultural event.
Kuchipudi has its roots in drama tradition. We seize every opportunity to showcase the drama in our choreography. We believe kids this age, connect to our culture through the rich stories that our mythology has to offer.

‘Ksheerabdi kanyakaku’, an Annamacharya kriti is offered as a Neerajanam to Goddess Lakshmi. At the end, RadhaLasya kids portrayed an episode of 'Ksheera Sagara Mathanam' where Devas and Asuras churn the milky ocean in quest of ‘Amritam’. In tge process emerges radiant Godess Lakshmi.

Closely watch the expressions of our little Usheena playing the role of Goddess Lakshmi.
She is elated, when she is assured by Lord Vishnu (played by our little Nithya) that he will keep her in his heart forever and shower her with love and affection. Thus the divine union takes place.
This story symbolizes the ideals of a divine and blissful union.

This portrayal is drawn from Sri Chaganti Koteswara Rao gari Pravachanam on Lakshmi Kalyanam Dwipada. If you haven't had the opportunity to listen, I strongly encourage everyone to do so and immerse yourself in a plethora of emotions brimming with love and affection.
